4th of July Salad

If you’re planning a BBQ, this is a recipe you definitely need to try! This salad is healthy and the flavors combine so well. The ingredients are:

  • 5 ounces salad greens
  • 3 cups quinoa (cooked and cooled)
  • 1 ½ cups blueberries
  • 1 ½ cups raspberries
  • Star-shaped watermelon slices

And the directions:

  1. Arrange one third of the greens on the bottom of a salad bowl.
  2. Top with half of the quinoa, ½ raspberries and ½ blueberries.
  3. Add the remaining quinoa, another third of greens, half the blueberries and raspberries.
  4. Top with the remaining greens and arrange the final half of berries over the top.
  5. Tuck a few watermelon slices on the sides and one on the top to finalize.
