With so many delicious recipes to try this time of the year, many fails are bound to happen - like overcooked food, dropped plates, dishes being attacked or forgotten - especially for those who are not natural cooks. So, to lighten up the mood and make everybody laugh, let’s take a look at some of the most hilarious Thanksgiving food fails!
It’s incredibly easy to forget about the yams when you still have to prepare other dishes, decorate the table, take care of the children, and pay attention to the guests. It happens.
We try to cook our own Thanksgiving dinner from time to time, but we very quickly remember why it’s so much better to go have Thanksgiving dinners with the in-laws and grandparents rather than make our own mistakes...er...dinner.
Dirty Candy Apples
Pinterest makes everything look easy. But it’s going to take about 10 times for you to get it right. It’s okay, happens to all of us. Candy apples are not made by normal people; you need to have a natural cooking talent and be strong against frustration so you don’t throw those horrible-looking apples on the wall.
Gingerbread Turkey Fail
It doesn’t matter if the instructions are very detailed and clear, if everything is ready and you just need to assemble the pieces - it is still very easy to fail. Hard.
Sometimes a fail is not committed by us, but by our lovely four-legged companions. And it’s amazing how it can happen just at the best time.
Pumpkin Pie Attack
And sometimes it’s not our furry friends that commit food crimes: sometimes it’s our innocent 3-year-old that doesn't know he has to wait for the guests to arrive before digging in (literally) to the pumpkin pie.
This poor lost soul looking for a family probably got forgotten on top of a car and got thrown to its misery.
Caramel Apple Fail
Caramel Apples are one of those treats that are so incredibly delicious that we have to try to make our own. The problem is that it’s not as easy as it looks.
Are these ghosts? Are these ETs? No one will ever know. Too bad Halloween is gone: these ghouls look scarily perfect for the holiday.
When you try to make your own Thanksgiving Rolls but instead you end up with a big Thanksgiving loaf. Ok, maybe this is not a fail, just a matter of different pronunciation.
Fall, with its chilly weather and holidays, is the best season to try new things, and committing fails is a part of it. It happens to everybody, doesn't matter how good you are in the kitchen and how much patience you have. Let us know about your own adventures!
