This transformation is so incredible that you won’t believe it only cost $100. ElizaB was tired of the kitchen in her rental unit and after the roommate moved out, she decided to make a small renovation on the place. Painted walls, painted cabinets, vinyl plank for the floor and new baseboards transformed the space! And the best part: the renovation only cost $100. Isn’t it inspiring?
$100 Children’s Bedroom Makeover
Creativity, time, and paint can do wonders for any space. This homeowner decided to transform the children’s bedroom from bland to cool and didn’t let the tight budget of $100 stop her. After painting the walls with this amazing light blue color and painting the dresser and closet white to make the space brighter, a lot of DIY was involved to create new decoration and practical solutions to keep things organized. Small Bathroom Renovation for $85
This amazing bathroom renovation by Two It Yourself is almost unbelievable. The makeover included painting the walls, lots of storage options, new light fixtures, beadboard work, trim, a new window treatment, and lots of creativity. The homeowner kept her costs down by “shopping” her own house and using what she already had on hand, making the total renovation cost drop. Isn’t it amazing?
$80 Rental Kitchen Transformation
When the landlord doesn’t let you paint or replace anything, you have to be creative to make your kitchen brighter and warmer. This homeowner decided to take the doors off the upper cabinets to make the space more open and put up some pretty paper on the back wall, to make the dishes pop. She also opted for framed photos as a cool backsplash, and a nice rug to cover the ugly linoleum. The rest of the money was spent on cheap solutions to keep things organized:
- tin canisters
- glass jars
- dish drainer
- cutlery caddy
To finish the transformation, Christmas tree lights were reused on top of the cabinets to provide some nice ambient light. Creativity at its best!

Cute Laundry Room Makeover
It’s not just the common areas that deserve a nice renovation: the laundry room does too! This makeover featured at View Along the Way uses an interesting cabinet found at a yard sale to create some much needed storage. Some shelves were added using scrap wood and the amazing wall design was stenciled. The vinyl floor was painted in blue and white stripes, a cheap drying rack was added and a light fixture was a DIY project. Add some picture frames and voilá: an expensive-looking-but-cheap-and-totally-gorgeous laundry room!
