We have a hallway (L shaped) from garage to kitchen/living room, plus a 2nd bedroom that now have 2 layers of old office type 2 tone brown carpeting on the floor. There is old parkay flooring in the livingroom that has been refinished recently (not even close to perfectly), and we wonder if this same parkay flooring is below the carpet, and possibly we could remove carpet and refinish all the parkay to be similar... or just replace the carpeting with new berber and foam pad in a light brown or tan color - no high low, nor mixed colors please.
Measurements of (L shaped) hallway - 6' x 7' 7" + 4' x 11''; bedroom 11' x 14' approx.
These two areas are on either side of a wall - no closet in bedroom.

We want ceramic tile installed in our laundry room and powder room, both of which are in the basement. The floor is uneven and there is a drain down there. We would like to see if you can repair the subfloor first so that ceramic tile can be safely installed and hold up.
