We have an 1800 sq.ft. house and currently heat and cool it with a 3 ton heat pump that was installed 8 years ago. My wife and I like it really cool, especially at night. The unit we currently have is partially in the attic and consequently when the temp outside is as hot as it has been recently, we have a problem with the lines from the drain pan located with the unit in the attic becoming blocked. And when that happens we usually get the drain pan overflowing in a spare room. We are interested in possibly installing a 3 head mini split system to ease the load on the heat pump. i have a window ac unit that wirjs but not getting the room cool in the daytime . The daytime its 85 degrees. i cleaned the filter in the front of it . I think there is a filter or simething inside that needs to be cleaned.
