Soundproofing 1000 sq feet of ceiling: My rental property was just mitigated for mold, which means they've taken the drywall off the ceiling of the first level of my two level house (the first level is a walk in basement). I'd like to use the opportunity of having no ceiling to install sound proofing insulation. The lower level consists of 1,000 square feet. nnAnd I am focussing on sound proofing between the two levels of the house, but I also have other needs we could discuss: nnI will also need to replace the insulation in the exterior walls on the lower level, as well as the upper level garage/mudroom which is 484 square feet. (all drywall and insulation was removed by the mold mitigators). I also have an exterior door to install and a garage door.
