Soundproof Drywall-To seal air gaps at sides and top of a wall that separates the kitchens of two apartments. Undesired sound and cooking odors pass through the gaps. A complete job would probably require temporary removal of part of the cabinets, in at least one of the kitchens/apartments.
Sealing the gap at the ceiling is impeded by a wooden ceiling beam that is 15 inches tall. There is less than a three-inch gap between the beam and the drywall. This is the case in both apartments..
