I am looking to have the air quality in my town home tested...recently we noticed what appeared to be black mold growing on the ceiling of a linen closet we rarely use...after having it looked at (by inspecting the attic which is right above the linen closet ceiling) we were told that a pipe in the attic had not been sealed and water was slowly dripping onto the wood BELOW the insulation above the ceiling and then therefore dripping onto the dry wall ceiling in the closet...there was black mold growing in the attic but originally couldnt be seen because it was under the insulation and appeared to be confined to the area above the closet in the attic...the closet ceiling was completely removed/cut out and replaced and the mold in the attic was removed...not knowing how long the mold problem existed we are concerned about the air quality in our town home and are looking to have it tested.
