It’s time for ghosts, bats, pumpkins, and lots of candy corn! Time has come to prepare the home for the Fall. If you love Halloween, then witches, skeletons and vampires can be part of the decor, but if you don’t really have kids in the house, you may want to get a little more sophisticated.
Decorating is a favorite for kids and teens, but there’s no rule saying that you can’t celebrate it by decorating your house with charm and style.

You can actually re-purpose items you already have at home or invest in some that you can use after October 31st. White pumpkins are an example of decoration that can look great all the way from Halloween until Christmas, and even after that. They work well as a table centerpiece, at the front door, in the living room, and pretty much anywhere else.
So instead of orange and black, go with white and gold and neutral color schemes that can give a more natural effect, or even rustic depending on your taste. Fall has plenty of elements that can inspire your decoration for both celebrating the holidays and the arrival of the new season as well.
We have gathered some elegant ideas to help you get inspired, particularly if you like to change your home decor from time to time, or simply adding some seasonal elements to it.
Make an Outdoor Display

You can start with you garden by using white chrysanthemums, apple baskets and white pumpkins. Use LED lights if you want to give a cozy lighted atmosphere at night.
Add Some Spice to Your China Cabinet

Use white pumpkins of different sizes composing with items you already have, like your porcelain. Add seasonal elements to the ornaments, such as dried wheat bundles, hydrangeas and green apples.
Decorate Your White Pumpkins

If you’re looking to add a little more black, decorating with stickers and decals (or even sharpies) can have a surprisingly tasteful effect. Choose some stylish stickers and you pretty much have the job done. It will look terrific when composed in arrangements like these in the pictures. We absolutely love the polka dot one, which was actually made with a sharpie. Get more information about it here.

Balance elegance and eerie decorating the living room with these herringbone white pumpkins. They are super easy to DIY.
Create a Tablescape

This arrangement is perfect to use on top of a wooden table. White pumpkins, dried hydrangeas, naturally shed antlers and candles. The table on the picture is belgian oak. This is at the same time rustic and sophisticated.|
Mix with Flowers

This is as simple and elegant as it gets. Fall branches (these are from Pottery Barn), a Barcelona Vase from World Market, and off course, white pumpkins.
A few tips we want to give you:
- Use white pumpkins of different sizes
- Garlic cloves also do the job in some arrangements
- Get your kids or friends to write Thanksgiving wishes on some white pumpkins with a golden sharpie
- Hydrangeas look great in almost any arrangement
- Enjoy fall and the holidays having guests at home around this beautiful decoration. Serve white wine and play some delightful music.
