Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to celebrate love with your partner! It’s February 14th, meaning you still have a few days to plan your gifts, write a love letter, or prepare your Valentine’s Day decorations – our main topic for today.

And there’s a whole lot you can do when creativity strikes. I’ll go through simple ideas too so that you have options for last-minute decorations if you need, but with more than a week to plan, you can prepare something really special.

All the balloons

Balloons are always an effective way to decorate without spending too much time. With the help of an air pump, you can get it done super fast without much effort.

To create a sense of style, opt for white, pink, and red, adding a few letter balloons if you can! There’s not a whole lot to it, this Valentine’s Day decoration idea is pretty easy and effective.

Flowers are a common sight during Valentine’s Day and this is certainly not the only time they’ll appear on this list.

This decor idea works just as well as a centerpiece for the dinner table. You’ll need a glass jar and a few tools to paint and decorate it. The jar doesn’t have to be this specific shape, but a tall one works better for holding flowers.

Basically, all you’ll have to do is spray paint the bottle and then draw or paint a heart in the middle. If you want to make one exactly like in the picture, check out the tutorial at Live Laugh Rowe!

Love letter in a frame

Writing a love letter is one of the most intimate gestures of affection you can offer. Maybe you’ve already received one that you cherish, so you could frame it to keep in the bedroom forever!

Or, of course, you could write a really good one, frame it, and give it a gift. Cheesy, you say? Well, of course it is – that’s the point. Love is all about being cheesy without any inhibition!

The one from the photo above was made with watered-down black acrylic paint on a white canvas attached to a wooden frame. If you don’t have the time or patience to go this artsy route, you can simply write on white paper with black ink with a more carefree style, doing extreme S’s, V’s, M’s, and Z’s to fill in the blank spaces of the lines above.

What’s more romantic than giving someone your heart?

These fabric hearts work as a creative way to do so. Beautifully crafted, soft, and scented, they’re the perfect reminder of your love to keep around.

This is one of the most creative and adorable ideas I found.

Basically, you will turn metal bottle caps and clear glass cabochons into cute fridge magnets containing a word ripped from the dictionary. The words are for you to choose – whatever you think better describes your love!

You can create this amazing tree of hearts with a few branches, white spray paint, and some papercraft. It’s so beautiful you might as well just leave it as a permanent piece of decoration! It does take some time to make the little hearts and put everything together, so take an afternoon for this craft or enlist the help of the kids.

You don’t have to go too far to create something cute for Valentine’s Day. For example, one of the most common plans is to watch a movie at home, so why not decorate the couch with fluffy pink pillows? It’s simple, but it gets the point across!

A combination of white and red is also a good idea if you don’t have pink options at home. Don’t forget to also decorate your bed with holiday colors!
