Mold Inspection

We have a mold issue in the basement, which is a finished space. The space was virtually unused this past summer, and with financial issues are they are, we did not keep the AC on steadily to keep our AC bill payable. Although I do not see mold on the walls or in cabinets, or on window sills, etc. there are items which have a film of something on it - not like dust from more stuck on. Some of the clothes in the closets had greenish/white mold spots on them. It certainly smells moldy down there. And I have started experiencing worse than usual headaches non-stop for at least 3 months, symptoms like arthritis in my fingers and knees and hips, except the doctor says it isn't arthritis, sinusitis pressure non-stop, pressure behind my ears and hearing reduction, red eyes all of the time, sneezing, etc., and occasionally nausea, (which I thought was symptomatic of migraine headaches but I also don't have that) which are symptoms of mold irritation. Not everyone has these symptoms though, although my daughter also complains of headaches. I cannot afford to have walls removed and furniture pulled apart. What would be done in this circumstance? Would surfaces and carpets be cleaned, and the HVAC checked for old? There is a separate AC and furnace for the basement.

we will start going to meetup.com groups to get an honest quote, that is a quote that doesn't jump around like a bouncing ball. yes envirocheck checked and and its mold. and yes we need it, but that does not increase the chemical costs. its a small bathroom, all leaks were stopped by the plumber and there's none in the attic.
