Spring is the best time to work on your garden landscape, whether it is in your front or backyard. If you’re anything like me, landscaping can be really fun since you’re pretty much creating a work of art. But, it can also be a complete nightmare because there are so many gorgeous ideas you can never fully decided and stick to one option.
You know how they say it’s better when you go one step at a time? Well, today we’re particularly focusing on landscaping around trees! There are five options for you here, and lots of inspirational photos, so have fun being creative!
“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” - Albert Einstein
Flower beds are the most common pick when it comes to decorating around trees, and surely you can understand why: they’re gorgeous! Depending on the style you want for your yard, you can go full green (like the photo above), or a bit more playful and spring-like such as the picture below.
It’s a case of all options are the correct option, and it’s really just a matter of style. This idea even comes with a bonus: if your yard has a tree stump, instead of removing it, use it to make a flower bed itself!
There’s still more:
Stone Flower Bed
Stone is a wonderful addition to your garden as well, since it adds a look that I can’t even describe, it’s a blend of classic, and modern, a bit farmhouse, a bit rustic...but to sum up: it’s beautiful! A stone bed may be a bit trickier to DIY, but you can always get a free quote from a professional.
Deck or Bench
A deck can be really nice to build around a tree because not only it will look amazing, but it will also allow you to put some outdoor furniture later. Plus, if you have a green lawn such as the one from the photo above, a deck looks simply perfect on it!
Or, in a case of lack of space, you could opt for a simple, small DIY bench around the tree. Add some pillows so when you go outside the space will always look inviting and cozy!
There’s a lot of inspiration for decorating with river rocks, especially when it comes to making a path in your garden, so why not make a path and go around a tree? They even have the advantage of being easy to get in large quantities (along with the next option, stay tuned for that), you just need time and patience!
Also a few extra hands to help you out, depending on the amount of rocks you’re actually going to need.
As I mentioned previously, these are easy to get with some time and patience! Sea shells are usually used for nautical decor inside our homes, but they can also make something incredible happen around your tree - hence, the photo.
Bonus: Mix & Match
Bench + Deck
Couldn’t decide if you wanted a deck or a bench? Here’s the answer for you: get them both! With a design like this one, you won’t actually have the space to put out furniture, but it does allow you to bring pillows and cushions and gather the kids for a lovely picnic!
Flower Bed + Vintage Touch
Yet another flower bed! I thought this one was really special and I just couldn’t let it out of the article! This combination of green, pink, and white along with the vintage wheelbarrow is a match made in heaven. Let me tell you: one day I’ll have this in my own garden!
