electric riser was damaged from a tree branch fall pulled down the service line to the house and damaged the riser on the roof. electric service is terminated. Kankakee RMCE wants the riser repaired and inspected before service is renewed. I need an estimate of cost

This is a 900 sq. ft. older home that has the fuse box panel. I would like to replace the older panel with a new up-to-date one. I also would like to replace two old two-prong recepticles with the three-prong type. Current panel box is in a heated entry-way. There is no basement or second floor. Are junction boxes allowed to be hidden in walls or in the attic? I have 3 out of 4 wall outlets that failed. I measure 20 ohms across the sockets of the dead outlets. Two of three have two cables while one and the overhead light (also dead) have one cable. Either two \'somethings\' chewed through two cables simultaneously or there is a junction box somewhere.
