This is just a ceiling fan switch - wall switch has two elements - one turns light on and off , the other turns on the fan (low,med, high) - the fan switch was loose for a while and when the fan was on yesterday the fan switch quit working and I can't turn the fan off - fan portion of switch is completely non functional.

We have a number of small electric problems in our house that need attention. The first of which is, the electrical outlet in our kitchen next to where our phone jack is situated. The outlet does not seem to be working and this means that our phones are out as well because it is a model phone that the power holds the base for the answering machine. We had a small problem last week with our circuit breakers when we experienced a leak from our kitchen sink. The leak went down to the fuse box so so this might be the cause of the problem. The other outlet in the kitchen is also not working so it might well be a connected problem. We also need to have our back door bell fixed as it has not worked well since we had a new exterior door put in last fall. We also need attention to our basement lighting fixtures. We have several fixtures that the ballasts might have gone bad. Can you help?
