I am experiencing cracks where an addition was added to the house. The house was built in the 1950s and addition was added, I think, in the 1970s. The cracks first appeared when we had a very dry fall and winter. Since then cracks have widen or narrowed depending on how dry it is. There are no water problems in the basement.
