Fireplace logs need cleaned. Remote does not activate the flame, though manually the flame can be turned on via battery box in fireplace. Have replaced batteries in remote and in fireplace box.

A Montigo gas fireplace. Had entire pilot assembly replaced 11 months ago and first time trying to light fireplace yesterday the ignition switch will not spark to light pilot light. Vacuumed thoroughly hoping that would solve problem, but did not. Company that replaced pilot assembly cannot come out to look at it for 5 weeks. Was hoping someone could come out soon.
