We noticed we had a leak from a water spot that keeps appearing on an upstairs bedroom wall. The water mark has gotten bigger with the more moisture weve been having. I went up to the attic to see if I could find the issue and noticed water around the chimney. Our chimney has been closed up in the walls, and the tops were supposedly repaired/sealed up when we bought the house. I havent been able to get to the top of the roof because we have a double roof so I cannot say for sure, but from the attic it seems that water is coming in from the sides of the chimney and coming down to where we can see it on our wall. It seems like where the chimney meets the roof on the outside it is not properly sealed. What is your quote for how much it would cost to fix this?
