I also would like space in this structure for an art studio. In addition I would like to have a root storage cellar. I would like to have HVAC, electric and plumbing in the building which will probably require a new septic, either replacing what I have, or an additional field. I have two crawl spaces in the house already that may be able to be converted into a root cellar, or it may be easier and more cost effective to put it under the new structure. So, the best course of action is actually find a contractor who would be interested in coming out to look at the situation and make determinations as how best to proceed.
