Summer is approaching, which means now’s the time to experiment with big batch cocktails to be enjoyed by family and friends. You never know, you might just come up with your own signature cocktail.
”Never trust any complicated cocktail that remains perfectly clear until the last ingredient goes in, and then immediately clouds.” - Terry Pratchett
This recipe is incredibly cheap and super easy to make. In fact, it’s #1 on our list of big batch wine cocktails. The hardest part is deciding what fruit to put in the drink. Simply mix three cans of Fresca per bottle of wine for a delightful mixer that is crisp, fresh, and perfect for summer days. Then add some fruit. What kind of fruit? Any of these:
Lemonade Rum Punch
Drinks like these are the real reason the rum is always gone. Lemonade rum punch is light, refreshing, and packs a punch - just as the name implies. This makes it one of the best batch cocktails you can make. Try it out at your next party and see if any lemonade survives the night. You just need one part lemonade, half a part pineapple juice, half a part coconut rum, and one quarter part dark rum for color. It’s sure to be an instant hit.
What could possibly make a gin and tonic better? Combining it with a slushy. That’s right, you can turn your beloved gin and tonic into a slushy. Just put the gin, tonic, lime juice, and ice in a blender. Then blend until the consistency is close to a milkshake. After that, cool off and enjoy your frozen drink. Garnish with a lime. This is one of our favorite big batch gin cocktails.
Lemon Whiskey Sour
Here’s one of our favorite whiskey batch cocktails. It’s also one of the most pure forms of mixing we have on this list. Lemon whiskey sours are almost universally beloved in the bartending world. Big batch whiskey cocktails should always be used in moderation, especially when they taste as delicious as this one. Here’s what you’ll need.
- 1 1/4 cups whiskey
- 1 cup simple syrup
- 3/4 cup lime juice
- 3/4 cup lemon juice
- Garnish with Maraschino cherries
