"Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas." – Calvin Coolidge

This idea is great if you’re not a fan of cleaning tree branches throughout the season. It’ll sure make your life a lot easier.

Another great thing about a pegboard tree:

You can change it as you go. If you get tired of how it looks now, you can easily re-decorate. Isn’t it just awesome how DIY Christmas decorations can be so practical?

Reindeer Garland

Not only is this super easy to make, but it will also last throughout the season (and even more!). This reindeer garland is made with a printable.

However,

If you trust your drawing skills, I say: go for it!

Draw the reindeer and Santa's sleigh shape on a piece of paper, cut it out and then just follow the shape on pieces of light and dark brown cardstock papers. Remember to have at least a small piece of red cardstock paper for Santa’s sleigh too.

If you can’t draw that well, then just print a reindeer picture and use it as a shape. Once that’s all set, use a bit hot glue or tape to secure the twine on the back of each reindeer.

There are several gorgeous options you can pick, from colorful to fluffy. As I like to make a really colorful and cheerful tree, I prefer to use a simpler tree skirt, with minor details - such as the one from the photo.

All you need to make one like that is:

  • Fabric
  • Hot glue gun
  • Fabric scissors
  • Ruler and marker
  • Pom pom trim
