Whether you live in a house or apartment, you should consider building a cat porch for your pet. These are like heaven on earth for your pet! The idea is to make a space for your cat to enjoy fresh air and have a bit more space to walk around and relax that’s not indoors.
You can either buy them ready or DIY your own at home, the important thing is that these cat porches - also known as “catios” - should have:
- Cat beds
- Cat tree (optional)
In addition to that:
They must also be screened-in porches to make sure your pets are safe, both from getting lost outdoors and from getting attacked by other creatures that might visit your backyard.
“Time spent with cats is never wasted.” - Sigmund Freud
This catio was planned so that your cat can go there through the window, and so that you can enjoy the time along with your pet when he or she is in there! It’s a lovely and very natural place too, since there are tree branches your cat can use as paths, and lots of greenery around.
For Cats and People
This deck is also made so both people and cat can spend their time here. There is a lot of space to walk around and lots of shelves so your cat can climb and spend its energy! While also being a place they can sit and stare into the nature (or into the void, who knows what cats are looking at when they stop and stare, right?).
Another idea that’s really awesome is this cat paradise! When you love your pet enough, this is just another way to show it. It even has a lovely, small pond - which your cat will probably not make use of it, but you can also enjoy the time around there!
Wood Screened Deck
This deck is so cute! Those two cat heads above the door just give the place a super adorable touch!
Here’s the best part:
Even though the main material is wood, the roof is made from metal. That way cats can enjoy the place whatever the weather is!
Catio Window Box
If you’re not planning on making a big investment right away, you can choose an easier, inexpensive option, such as this catio window box. It doesn’t provide much space, but it’s perfect if you have just the one cat.
