We can never get enough of Mason jar DIYs! The more we delve into the crafting world, the more we find these jars being used to create some amazing things. With this new year ahead, how about you set a goal of making all the gifts you give? Instead of buying something ready-made, get some supplies together and make a totally budget-friendly gift that is also awesome!

Sugar Scrub

These sugar scrubs are a great gift for both teens and adults, plus: you can choose to make them white or combine two to three colors! And they’re really easy to make. You’ll need:

  • White sugar
  • Olive oil
  • Coconut oil
  • Essential oils

Of course, you’ll also need some food coloring if you’re going with the colorful option. They’re really fun to make, giving you the freedom to experiment and adjusting the ingredient quantities as you go.

Terrarium

This is really fun because you can basically get everything you need out in the wild - except for the jar, clearly.

One more thing that’s great about these:

You’ll always have uniqueness! There are many different plants you can mix and match, so you can also get really creative with this gift.

DIY for a DIYer

A DIY gift filled with DIYer treats, how about that? If your crafty friend is celebrating their birthday, this is probably the best gift you could get. Anyone involved in this world will enjoy the present (and probably make a DIY thank you note for you). You can make it personal, but some ideas to put inside the jar are:

  • Super glue
  • Gift tags
  • Twine
  • Sewing scissors

Apple Butter

Treats in jars are also really cool, that way people can eat the deliciousness and then make something themselves with the jar! Apple butter is just one of the options, and I chose this one because it’s really unique, but you could also go with cookies, candies, and so on.

For Him

Maybe you’ve already noticed that most DIYs are made for women, so to start doing something different, here’s a treat for the men in your life too! You can make it with after-shaving products, skin care creams, and whatever else you think they’d like.

For the Adults

If you know people who enjoy having a drink every now and then, you can find some combos such as:

  • Coke + Whiskey
  • Sprite + Vodka
  • Baileys + Coffee

And make a simple decoration with the jar to put it all together. Don’t they look awesome?

Soup Mix

Soup is nice any time of the year, but if you feel like giving gifts while we’re still in winter, consider this as a first option! Here you can find a lot of different mixes to keep innovating as you go, among them you’ll find:

  • Coconut curry
  • Five bean
  • Split pea

And much more!

For the Doggo

We all have that one friends who’s like...the biggest dog person ever! So make some dog treats and surprise that friend with this lovely Mason jar gift. It also works for cats - simply change the treats and the label!

Apron in a Jar

This one is my favorite! Maybe because I love cooking (and aprons) so much, but this look so cute! You’ve got to give me that, right? Though the tag above says “Happy Mother’s Day”, you can make your own handwritten tag with a personal message that your friend will simply love!

For the Teachers

Of course, as a former teacher, I had to include one of these on the list! It’s really fun to make gifts for teachers because you can always do something cheerful and with lots of colors.

In addition,

It’s always nice to thank the people who are helping to educate your kids! This flower pot filled with colorful alphabet letters is easy to make, and it stays within the budget (even below the budget, if I dare say it).

Hope these ideas inspired you! Make sure to share your own creations with us through our Facebook page, we’d love to see them!
