Tea time is something that should be universal. It allows you to relax, collect your thoughts, and caffeinate. Sleep is important, and mixes with some honey and turmeric, sleepytime tea can prove to be a great cocktail for feeling better. As an added bonus, it contains anti-inflammatory agents that speed up the recovery process. It’s not quite the best tea for sore throat and colds, but it’ll allow you to get some shuteye.
DIY Sore Throat Tea
As it turns out, tea is really easy to make. All you need to feel better is some boiling water, cinnamon, lemon, and honey. This concoction is perfect for easing the symptoms of a sore throat, especially considering you probably have the ingredients in your home already. Never underestimate the health benefits of tea. If you’re feeling daring (or just tired of feeling sick) add some whiskey to the mix and create a hot toddy. The little boost in alcohol will have you feeling better in no time.
Sage is the real killer of both viral and bacterial infections. This is by far the best tea for sore throat and colds when you’re trying to get better. It’s also an astringent herb that tightens pores of mucus membranes, helping you breathe and swallow easier. Sage can be a lifesaver.
